Govenors Park is a large space with numerous trees providing great shade throughout the day. The playground is fairly small, but the picnic pavilions are plentiful. I did not explore this park fully, but did see a baseball field and found two restroom buildings. There is no designated parking lot, but a paved path through the park with some paved parking spots, but also ample parking space in the grass adjacent to the driveway. Accessing the park from Airport Road is fairly straightforward and there are signs pointing to the park. Veer right at the Y intersection where you see the sign for the Ville Du Parc Townhouses. These townhouses will be on your left and you will turn right into the park area. Take a left at the Welcome to Govenors Park sign to access the playground.
Helping you explore local parks and other places of interest for kids to explore and play in the State College, PA and surrounding areas.

Welcome to this blog!
The focus of this blog is to highlight public parks in the State College area and surrounding towns. Please visit Centre Region Parks and Recreation (CRPR) website for a complete list of all parks by location, activity and more. This blog is created by a local mom to provide pictures, reviews and information regarding sun, shade, type of playground equipment, parking and other tidbits that would be helpful for parents to know before deciding which park is best on a particular day to take the kids to play. Please enjoy and maybe even find a new favorite park!
